Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to mourn the “Chill” of Nigerian Twitter.
The past 12 hours have been quite an uneasy one for Afropopsoul sensation, Mr Eazi. On Jan 11, The Ghanaian based Nigerian singer innocently took to his Twitter to share a simple opinion.
But as usual, our Naija brethrens (whose joy seem to have taken flight on the wings of the economic recession)were not there for it.
Everybody knows it irks Nigerians when Nigeria and Ghana are used in the same sentence
Especially when sores are still open from the Jollof war
How do you make such a harmless comment when MMM is still with people’s money?
He may have forgotten that members of”Men are Scum” Twitter stay roaming the cold timeline streets looking for who to donate their frustration to…
“Night Club” Twitter even plan to boycott his music tomorrow, Friday night
In the absence of matches to banter about, football twitter joined in the parry
While sympathizers sympathized from afar,
Some celebrity voltrons were on the rise…
Only that they forgot to wear their savage-proof vests
Trust Nigerians to drag poor Skales into every situation
Because apparently, Mr Eazi’s tweet seemed to have put many innocent people in harm’s way.
Mr Eazi thought some damage control might work
But Nigerians are not really thankful for his patronage
Although he is trying really hard to come back from this,
The gods are really angry and have demanded a proper apology.
