Last night, rival fans celebrated as their continued spell of trolling Manchester United fans continued. Mourinho’s Manchester United lost 2-1 to Fenerbache in the Europa league. This has led to football fans who are some of the most unforgiving of people, taunting Jose Mourinho.
The Special One, turned the Happy One, and now the Desperate One, Jose Mourinho, got the initial finger because of his ‘park the bus’ style of play which doesn’t fit Manchester United. Looking back at his illustrious career and the teams Jose has managed, he has had bad results with teams that gave him no choice but to play attacking football. Real Madrid, Chelsea (2015/2016 season), and now Manchester United. Without a win in as many games now, and a string of terrible losses, it must be torture for a man who loves playing defensive to not be able to. While his team keeps losing woefully.
One would expect a team with the most expensive player in the world – the Dabbing Merchant- Paul Pogba, one of the most lethal strikers in the world – Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the best player in Bundesliga last season – Mkhitaryan, next rated stars such as Rashford, Lingaard, Martial, Bailly, and captain Wazza – Wayne Rooney, to be gunning for every trophy and leaving a trail of destroyed teams in their wake. But instead, they sit comfortably in 8th position on the EPL log, and are 3rd in their Europa League group.
Mourinho’s desperation keeps evolving with the team sheet of every fixture. His decision to drop key players to the bench (Rooney, Martial, Zlatan, Mkhitaryan, and Schneirdelin) and reserves (Bastian), while trying to see if players below par (Fellaini) will step up is something that keeps plaguing the minds of both red devils and rival fans everywhere.
Despite Manchester United’s new signings and manager, they presently have a worse record than when David Moyes (who fans believe to be the most unsuccessful Manchester United manager, and the cause of their misfortune) managed the team.
While thinking of the coming Man United fixtures, all we can ask is “what will the desperate one do next?”
