Barack Obama took his first subtle shot at his predecessor since inauguration day, by taking a jab at President Donald Trump’s use of twitter to respond to every and anything. However, the jab came at a price because Obama got paid while subbing the POTUS.
The diss came Thursday in NYC while the ex-prez was speaking to a crowd of A&E Network’s advertisers. While presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin interviewed Obama, she asked how he handled frustrating moments in the White House.
Barack coolly replied, “For starters, by not having a Twitter account.”
It was an expensive joke for A&E … which according to the NY Post, paid Obama $400k for the speaking engagement. He’s reportedly making that same amount to speak at an upcoming Health conference put on by Wall Street firm Cantor Fitzgerald.
Barack Obama has been pretty much relaxed and out of the politics world ever since his leaving office in January. Going on vacations, meeting ex-presidents and delegates from other countries while raking in big bucks from his book and Michelle’s as well, which has reportedly made well over $3.5m.
Guess it’s all about tha money, money, and more money right now for the first black president of the United States of America
