AKA demands Burnaboy apologizes to him before visiting South Africa [See Details]

South African artiste, AKA demands apology from Burnaboy upon his inclusion in the Africans Unite concert set to hold in South Africa. The Africans Unite concerts, a response to recent xenophobia in the country is organized by Play Network Africa, based in Nigeria, in partnership with Phambili Media SA. The concerts are expected to feature Burna Boy alongside artistes such as Kwesa and Jidenna and is scheduled to hold on 23rd and 24th November.

However, Aka is not very pleased with Burnaboy’s involvement in the concerts and demands he apologizes for the series of tweets he made in September where Burna Boy urged black foreigners living in SA to defend and protect themselves against xenophobic attacks. In a now deleted tweet, he also told AKA to beef up his security, before giving him the middle finger. He promised to never set foot in SA again until the government “wakes the f*ck up and really performs a miracle”.

AKA took to Twitter to rant about his thoughts on the situation saying;

Burnaboy stills keeps mum to Aka’s rants but has earlier stated that all the proceeds from the concert would be given to victims from the Xenophobia attacks. “The first of many! Part of the proceeds will be donated to the victims of Xenophobic attacks by me! I really hope we can all keep contributing in our own way to make the world a better and safer place for each other. #Africansunite , it’s bigger than all of us”.
