I would recommend eating foods like green leafy vegetables like spinach and kale for these foods will add the most benefits to your eye health, Also, consume carrots and other vegetables as well. Another great nutrient that you can get in supplement form is lutein and zeaxanthin. These vitamins really help with your overall eye health. Finally, make sure you are getting enough vitamin D and Vitamin C in your diet. This always helps a little too.

If you want to protect your eyes through and through, you have to be wearing sunglasses on a regular basis. If you don’t your eyes will get macular degeneration over time. Cataracts are always a high possibility. I would definitely recommend getting a pair that blocks out 99% of the suns harmful UV rays. I would also get a polarized pair if I am going to be driving a lot. A polarized pair typically reduces the glare. You should wear sunglasses every time you are outside no matter if it is shine or cloudy. The UV rays can always reach your eyes. Also, wear them during winter as well.

Let’s face it. Most of us are always in front of the screen. Whether it is for a job or just for leisure, most of us spend way too much time in front of them. This can really hurt our eyes over time. If you stay in front of a screen for prolonged periods of time, you will most likely get eye strain. You can also get blurry vision and your eyes will have a hard time focusing at a distance. This can really lead to macular degeneration over time.
