American professional Tennis player, Serena Williams withdraws from Italian Open saying, she needs more time to be “hundred percent ready to compete”

The recent mother, who just returned to tour after a 14-month absenteeism to have her daughter is also in doubt for the French Open which starts on May 27, 2018. Serena who is a four-time Italian Open winner has not played since she lost to Naomi Osaka at the Maimi Open in March.

Catherine Bellis, who is also an American professional tennis player takes Williams’ place in the Rome draw.
